Small and local businesses are the foundation of a resilient economy, healthy communities, and thriving families.
Each year the WA Dept. of Enterprise Services / DES buys 1+ billion dollars of goods and services. Seeking to give more contracts to local and small businesses, the State formed a Business Diversity Advisory Group / BDAG. BDAG brings policy and procurement decision-makers together with small business owners to change the culture of policy and procurement to achieve this goal through un-bundling, voluntary goals, or mandated directives.
