Watch the first ever public modest fashion show west of the Rocky mountains, produced by Zena Consulting and partners, with funding from the Arts & Culture department of Kirkland, WA in Kirkland, WA, in 2016 and 2017.
NPR reporter Cathy Duchamp interviewed participants in this community program we helped launch a women's swim program in 2002, at Meadowbrook Pool, in Seattle. Young children are included.
Here's what one participant said:
"I've been raised in Saudi Arabia. No woman can go uncovered or--any public places. For me to learn how to swim --it's like dreaming. I never imagined myself in the water swimming."
