Lee Mozena launched Zena Consulting in 2008 to help leaders manage diversity and grow through inclusion.
We work mostly with small businesses or nonprofits in the NW and USA. See Lee's qualifications at FAQS.
Zena Consulting's work reflects her belief that:
- organizations function a lot like families
- cultural intelligence is a vital leadership skill today
- small businesses and communities and are inextricably linked
You don't have to reinvent yourself to be a great leader. We start with your innate strengths and common sense skills (E.Q.), add cultural information (C.Q.) relevant to your market and organization, then show you how these combined factors support the complex task of managing others. (L.Q.).
Other METHODOLOGIES we use are Adaptive Leadership and Predictable Success.

Is conflict jeopardizing your mission? In-fighting can take a big toll on everyone- even in organizations that operate smoothly otherwise. Learn how to identify and transform peoples’ hard-wired differences into opportunities for respect, collaboration, and growth.
This overview of major world religions and spiritual belief systems will help you navigate in any professional setting with greater confidence. Learn how to avoid the top misunderstandings (around time, touch, gender, modesty, etc.), and get focused on shared values and goals.
If you’re from the liberal NW it might be a struggle to work successfully with people whose values or customs seem baffling, regressive, or disrespectful. Learn how to stay neutral, communicate effectively, and reach across cultural, faith-based, or ideological differences.

You all want to succeed, so it’s frustrating to see effectiveness compromised by tension and infighting that results in:
The highest performing teams have a mix of people, skills, and ideas. Recognizing differences and strengths is essential to leveraging healthy conflict. Unresolved interpersonal conflict can be a silent killer at best or costly complaint/lawsuit at worst. Here's how we can help:

'Systems Thinking' models, such as Harvard's Adaptive Leadership approach, helps you find sustainable solutions by breaking challenges into three buckets: technical, adaptive, or (most) a combination of both. This shifts the focus away from individual personalities and conflicts.
